How often and to what degree of severity depends on your weight and goal. The key thing is that you must understand that when you are hungry the body is taking off fat and using it to provide needed energy to your body, this is good. If you eat when you are hungry you do not let the body take off the fat.
What you have to do is let hunger set in and when it does repeat the phrase I gave you. Keep this in your mind as you become hungrier. It is in the mind. Now there comes a point when you need to eat, at this point you must only consume simple items like lettuce, celery, and simple salads. Do not eat until you are full – never. Eat just enough to curb the growling. This is very important. Do not consume any sugars, breads, starches or the like. Keep eating fresh items whenever possible.
Compliment this with having a liquid by you most of the time, i.e. water, fresh juices (non sugar), tea, coffee. This is important for keeping your system flushed and pure. Keep this up at all times. It is good to replenish yourself with water and vegetables. Again, never fill up! This is especially true at holiday eating parties. Just ignore all the foods and stick to the vegetables and salads. Do not ever put these in any dip or sauce.
Now if you really want to lose weight you will have to live with the growling for a long period of time, weeks or more. This depends on the amount of fat you have and how thin you want to become. The point is that you must be at a constant state of hunger during the commencement of your weight loss.
You will see dramatic (good) results in just days. As days pass you will be more excited to see the rim of your pants loosen. These are motivators. Keep telling yourself that you can do it and repeat the above phrase.
In closing if you follow the above guidelines you will lose weight safely and quickly. You will be eating what is good for you and in small portions. Once you have attained your goal the need for the mental rigor will diminish in proportion to the loss of weight and your spirits and out look on life will turn to the positive. To your new look!
