Perhaps the most famous housed in the United States, these Grand Dames of Victorian Architecture have captured the hearts of everyone across America. It was a joy to draw and paint each line of these beauties. I had to be care as not to put too many lines of ink in the drawing porting of the watercolor for these houses have so much detail to them that it would get too bogged down and tedious and no longer a pleasure to look at. The same is true with the watercolors; I had to make sure to put just enough to give the proper suggestion of the tones.
